The 2020 Museum
A project for the MA Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
The 2020 Museum is a reflection on the year defined (largely) by the pandemic and the BLM movement and how these events were lived, experienced, and digested by vast numbers of the global population - from the comfort (or confinement) of their living spaces and through digital screens.
A collection of images from the Unsplash current events page from each month were selected and re-captured through long exposure digital and film photography. Time was an important aspect in both the conceptual link between these images as well as in the process of their (re)creation. They are exhibited in the same way most of us have experienced the year - the digital indoors. Based on the physical layout of my London flat, viewers are invited to review and reflect on the images in this digital living space.
