Coffee Brew Visual Notation

A creative coding project for the MA Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

This project sought to devise a visual communicative and instructional system around different ways of brewing coffee. Each method includes multiple steps and tools, as well as physical motions and produced sounds, textures, and smells, all of which are structured into a highly specific time-based system. The notational system aims to capture these different elements in a purely visual scheme which is left open to the viewer to investigate and navigate.
