Iteration 06
This sketch introduces layering and audio, as well as increasing the level of user interactivity.
The image oscillates along the Z axis according to the amplitude of the audio. Mouse movement along the X axis determines the degree of image fragmentation. The poster is divided into 4 horizontal sections - mouse position between the top three sections determines which image is displayed. The bottom section displays all 3 images superimposed on one another.
Iteration 07
Building on iteration 03, this sketch looks at how a poster constructed in 3D space might look.
Mouse position pans the user viewpoint and proximity to the content. Although the arrangement of material in a 3D space was interesting, I did not continue developing this path as I felt it was becoming too restrictive.
Iteration 08
This sketch introduced video, allowing the user to interact through fragmentation and motion.
Mouse position affects the position of the 4 video panels in the foreground, revealing or hiding elements in the original video behind.
Iteration 09
With greatly increased fragmentation, the user interacts with the video to create new abstract forms.
Mouse position affects the degree of fragmentation, as well as the displacement and movement of those fragments.
The abstractions generated through interaction were also exported as stills, shown below.








Iteration 10
This sketch examines the visualisation of audio through fragmentation and motion, combining many elements of previous iterations.
The background elements are fragmented and move according to the amplitude of the video audio. Mouse position pans the angle of the video. Notably, the audio track itself is absent, thus only the visuals hint at the contextual sound.
